Alabama Home Builders Foundation The Alabama Home Builders Foundation (AHBF) awards scholarships to deserving men and women who want to pursue careers in the core trades of the home building industry. There are many rewarding careers in the home building field and the focus of our program is the core trades. Examples of these trades include, but are not limited to: carpentry and cabinetry, masonry, HVAC/HVACR, plumbing, drafting, electrical engineering and electrical work.

Cullman Lions Club The Cullman Lioness Club will be awarding a $1000 scholarship to a deserving male or female student. Since they are a service organization, preference will be given to students who are affiliated in some manner to the Lions, Lioness, or Leo Cubs; however other students are welcome to apply. Alabama Farmers Federation/ALFA $1,000 scholarship Alabama Farmers Federation members can now apply online for a $1,000 college scholarship funded through the Alfa Foundation.Applications are due April 1. The scholarships will be awarded to 100 students attending Alabama colleges, universities or technical schools and may be used for tuition, fees, books or supplies required for coursework. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic record; demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities; honors; work experience; and statement of goals and aspirations. A minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale is required. To be eligible, the scholarship applicant must be a member of the Alabama Farmers Federation, and the membership must be issued in the name of the scholarship applicant. Applications for the Cullman Rotary Club scholarships are in the guidance counselor's office. Deadline March 1. They are awarding two $1500 scholarships. Requirements: Transcript ACT score 2 letters of recommendation Paragraph of how you have served others in your community
The JB "Boots" Hill memorial scholarship is for students enrolling in a construction related curriculum. Deadline is March 15th. I have copies of the application in my office.
Cullman Electric Cooperative offers 2 scholarships - one deadline is February 26th and the other is March 4th, 2016. I have applications in my office or they can be submitted online at www.cullmanec.com
